While I usually LOVE (underscore, bold) Rodarte's designs*, I seem to be in the minority opinion on their dresses just presented at New York Fashion week. I love the pop culture reference. I love the use of flowing fabric to present a celestial collection. I love the continued trend of using matted, washed out images. I love the use of photography on fabric to create a print. BUT.... Where on earth would YOU wear a gown with CP3O snaking up the skirt? Fun, memorable runway moment, but....
How adorable is this little gift idea?! Any of my three kids would love to receive this, place it in their pocket and carry it around as a happy thought on any given day. What a thoughtful little git for the upcoming Valentine's Day holiday.

Happy first of February! With Valentine's Day just a couple of weeks away, I've been searching out some thoughtful, unique ways to share some love. Sure, boxes of chocolates and flowers and jewelry are all welcomed, but my favorite part of this holiday comes in taking a few extra moments to tell those close to you that you appreciate them. I love the idea of making your personal message the focus of your gift. And, the idea pictured above (from ohcrafts.net) is a perfect way to do just that.
